Being a successful Development leader for twenty-three years (and counting!) requires curiosity, business acumen, courage, a sense of humor, and a lot of heart. There’s nothing better than bringing people together, creating connections, deepening relationships, and having the resources needed to deliver your mission.

This photo embodies the spirit that I bring to my work: collaborative, generative, and fun. Here I am outside of Marion Oliver McCaw Hall at Seattle Center, celebrating twenty years of the building’s opening. This special place is a throughline of my development career. As a young professional this was one of my first major capital campaigns and I was fortunate to return to McCaw Hall during my nine-year tenure at Seattle Opera, where I led the capital campaign for the Opera Center right next door!

Hello!

I’m Allison, principal of RR.

I started RoosterRabbitt because non-profits need an amplifier; an experienced professional to support their staff and board to reach their next-level goals.

Your Trusted Partner

Before I began consulting, I served as Director of Development at Seattle Opera. I led the team of staff and volunteers that completed the $28.5M capital campaign for the Opera Center and raised between $10M-12M to create opera annually. I was instrumental in building the company’s culture of philanthropy (aka: culture of generosity, collaboration, love). Ask anyone in any department “Who is a fundraiser at Seattle Opera?” and they will tell you: everyone is a fundraiser. Fundraising is all about relationships.

I’m dedicated to making the world a more humane and fulfilling place. I started my career in Development as a young mom with a desire to do work that was grounded in love of humanity, which is what philanthropy means! My joy is taking the fear and mystery out of fundraising, and strengthening community through values-based campaigns.

In addition to being a fundraiser, I embody multiple roles as a daughter, sister, mother, wife, friend, aunt, poet, accordion player, and, most importantly, a constant learner. I'm deeply committed to making a positive difference in the world. Here’s a photo of my inspiration corner, you'll find my treasured desk plaques, gifted by my children and the Seattle Opera team, serving as daily reminders to uphold these meaningful titles and responsibilities.

A little bit more about my work in the world…

In addition to being Principal at RoosterRabbitt, I am a Senior Consultant at Scandiuzzi Krebs and a member of the Capital Campaign Pro consultant cohort. I am also proud to be an AirBnB Superhost.

My joys are spending time with my family and friends, sculpting cakes for people I love, walking in the woods or along the water, backpacking, and staying strong at Valkyrie Strength and Conditioning. I keep my spirits high through a daily centering practice and am an active member of Contemplative Outreach Northwest.
